Can You Trust a School’s
Claim of Student Success?

Measurable
Student-First
Verifiable

Most bootcamp hiring metrics are a mess. Many schools are publishing job metrics that are opaque, inconsistent, or misleading. Course Report measures the industry placement average around 73% - much lower than the rates bootcamps usually publish. This hurts consumers who are unable to make a clear, apples-to-apples comparison between schools.

The biggest coding bootcamp dilemma is honest outcomes reporting. When a bootcamp advertises their hiring rate and average starting salary, how did they arrive at those numbers? You entrust your future with your school. Shouldn’t they provide data you can trust?

STUDENT-FIRST

Do they have a record of prioritizing student success?

MEASURABLE

Do they present recent, clear and complete outcomes data?

VERIFIABLE

Are they committing to a high standard of reporting integrity?

With Hack Reactor,
It is a Definite Yes.

Raising The Bar

In 2017, as a founding member of CIRR, we joined the largest coalition of coding programs to commit to the highest standard of integrity in results report. We’re calling on all bootcamps to commit to putting accountability, transparency and students first.

What To Look For In
Outcomes Reports

The easiest way for a school to increase the reported percentage of graduates securing jobs is to find reasons to exclude grads from the calculation - not counting ‘entrepreneurs’ for example. By leaving it up to the school’s discretion, student outcomes are often inflated.

To truly understand placement rates and average salaries, look to see if 100% of students are included within the outcomes report. At Hack Reactor, we include ALL students and leave no grads out of the picture providing you with honest, straight-forward data.
